Computer games

Callie has been wanting to play with the mouse and keyboard when I'm on the computer, so I let her play her own game today. She was talking to every animal, it even sounds like she says zebra if you listen carefully. Callie has become very vocal lately, one of these days she will just start talking our ears off.

Doughnuts

I bought a little bag of white powdered doughnuts on Monday and Callie loved them. She would get so excited if she heard the packaging and start screaming and swinging her arms.

Here she is begging for a bite.
Then she snatched the doughnut out of my hand and ran to the corner. Here she had been caught. But of course she will give me one of her goofy smiles, white mouthed and all.

packing down the dirt

This weekend Loren filled in all the holes in the backyard that the dog dug up. When he was packing down the dirt, Callie followed in his footsteps. You don't see it in the video, but after he would move off the dirt spot, she would stand on it and jump again. She is too dang cute!

naughty little girl

Yesterday Callie pushed out the dog door block. I found her outside with all the dry dog food in the water and a huge mess. She was pretty proud of herself.

Mouse Pads

I wanted to brag a little about my amazing husband. He got some more leather working supplies and was able to make some new mouse pads. He is still working on his talent, but I think he is pretty awesome. He even sold the star mouse pad within 24 house of posting it on Etsy.

Sunday

Sunday's are getting harder with Callie. Callie goes down for a nap at 10am and usually doesn't wake up until after 11am. I don't want to mess with her schedule, so we miss sacrament meeting. Then she won't sit still during Sunday school and Relief Society. If we are in class, she is usually going through other people's bags. It's a pain to keep her contained to just my bag or the area around me. Therefore, I spend all of the church we do go to, out in the hallway. I can't wait until she is 18 months and can go into nursery.

Don't mind the two spots on her forehead. She had a run in with the cement patio in the back. Callie was practicing crawling in and out of the back door when her foot got caught and she face planted into the cement. Poor little girl. She does look pretty cute in her little Sunday outfit though.

Jumping

Chickenpoxs?

Is this chickenpoxs? Callie started getting a few bumps a few days ago, and now they are all over her forehead. She got the chickenpox vaccine at her 12 month appointment and the nurse said this can happen up to 3 weeks afterwards. Or is she having an allergic reaction to something? Poor baby girl.

The past couple of days

Life has been pretty busy this past month. I thought I would show you what Callie has been up to.

Callie gets daddy rides every night after scripture study and prayer.
She found the toilet paper while mommy was showering and it was spread throughout the house. She loves watching cartoons with Daddy, weather it be in the morning or in the evening.
When I had the furniture moved for painting, she loved squeezing between the couches and playing.

Callie loves helping you with everything you are working on. She helped my clean baseboards before painting them. She helped dad find the studs in the wall to move the TV.

She has recently become attached to her baby and will point out her eyes, nose, mouth, toes, and toes when we ask her too. We have been quizzing her on who people are and she points to the person correctly and even to herself. She is slowing learning to fold her arms for prayers, its the whole sitting still thing we need to work on. I'm sure it won't take too long, we've got a smart little cookie on our hands.

Etsy Blessings

Our family has been so blessed lately. Loren works for the State of Idaho and because of budget cuts, he has had to take 6 furlow days (days off without pay). He decided to spread them out throughout the last couple months so we would only get docked a few hours to a day each paycheck. We knew that if we cut back and stick to a budget that we would be able to get through it.

Who knew that Etsy would be such a blessing. In November when I decided to make stockings, I did it to make enough money to pay for a new water heater. Let alone make a little extra money to have a nice Christmas. We never expected it to grow into the business it has.

In March from Turnbow designs, I sold 21 items and 2 items to family. Today is April 3rd and I've already sold 7 items. I just can't believe it! Now when I hear there is rumor that there are more furlow days to come, I know that we will be ok.

Not only does Etsy bring in extra money, it has really been a release for me. I love the designing of the new products and having that little time to escape the repetition of cleaning the house.

What is bad about Etsy? My competitive side has come out. I regualarly search for new ideas on the site. There is this one lady that makes some of the same stuff I do, and I check her site, just to make sure I sell more than she does. I know I'm a little crazy, but that's who I am.

I really do feel blessed to have the talents that I do and have the ability to have my own little business while I stay at home.
