THIEF

We must not give our cat enough treats. This past week I have found two full packages chewed up in our back yard. Our cat is a thief. I don't know where he is getting them from, but he is bringing home bags of treats and trying to chew them open. He must be going into open garages or cat doors, I just don't know. I wish I could see him dragging the bag across the street though.

Callie's first cereal meal

4 month stats

Weight 14 lbs 3 oz 75%
Height 25 1/2 in 50%
Head 41 1/4 cm 50%
The doctor gave us the go ahead for cereal. Loren and I are very excited about feeding her. Callie is pretty excited also. Every time we eat she watches us very close. We even get out a spoon for her to practice with. She is always grabbing at our cup and pulling it to her mouth, so she is ready. There will be photos and videos to come...

I caught you

Yesterday around 6:00pm, I caught Loren snoozing with the dog. Both of them were totally asleep. The dogs mouth was twitching and he was licking the air.
Good thing we don't let the dog in bed with us, otherwise I wouldn't get any cuddle time.

NO!

Yesterday I was breastfeeding and while feeding Callie was bitting and pulling. It really hurt so I told her no. I guess she didn't like it because her little lip pouted out and she started crying. She was so upset that she wouldn't latch on again. It took about 20min of her crying to get her to latch on and go to sleep. It broke my heart that I made her sad, but it was really hurting mommy.

4 Months

Callie turned 4 months on Saturday. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. She has grown so quickly and has her own little personality already. Even though it's tough being a stay at home mom, it is well worth it. I love the time Callie and I get to spend together. She loves to read and look at books from the library. She enjoys going to the play groups and watching all the little children. At church yesterday she rolled over and then scooted on her belly to me to play with my shoes. She is going to be crawling any time now.

4th of July

This post is a little late, but I wanted to share with you the pictures of our scared dog. Since Callie was sick on the 4th, we just stayed home. Good thing we did because Bowser got so scared. On the third he kept following us around the house. He even got between me and the fridge when I was getting water. We let him sleep in our room that night because he was shaking so hard. We were sad to see him like this. On the forth we let him sleep in our room again and he kept trying to hide under the bed, but he is a little too big.

Boise State Fan

I love my little girl and I enjoy dressing her up. Today was a Boise State day.

Cookbook

I am in the process of going through all of my cookbooks and combining them into one. We have been trying many new recipes and have enjoyed some of them and hated others. I finally tried making my grandmother's Twice Baked Potatoes the other day, they came out perfect and Loren loved them. I am sharing this recipe with you so you can taste the yummiest potato ever.

TWICE BAKED POTATOES
6 large potatoes
3 T margarine
1 c sour cream
1 egg
1 T chopped onion
3/4 c. Old English cheese
Salt and Pepper
Parmesan cheese
Cheddar Cheese
Bacon

Bake potatoes 1 hour. Slice out top and scoop out. Mix potato with remainder of ingredients. Stuff potato skins; top with Parmesan and Cheddar cheese and rewarm. Serve hot with bacon bits.

Little Fighter

Callie has learned that she can fight us on everything. Changing her diaper has already become a fight. She continues to straighten her back and lift her butt off the changing table so we can't get a diaper on her. At church she tries to wiggle out of your arms (I don't know where she thinks she is going because she isn't mobile yet). Yesterday we caught her on camera refusing to get into her car seat. I think it is only going to get worse.

Silly Dog

How could you not love a dog that sleeps like this in the middle of the yard every day?
Don't mind our dead grass, we are still working on it.

Our little Cowgirl

I couldn't resist taking some photos of my cute little girl.

First Horse Ride

We were able to make it over to Saint Anthony this last weekend for Loren to fish and for Callie to see her Grandparents. She even got to go for her first horse ride. She is a cowgirl in training.
