11 Months

Callie is about 11 1/2 months, but I just now got to taking her photos. Not only is she growing way too fast, she is getting way too fast. Therefore these pictures are not the best. She loves bath time now that we allow her out of her bath chair. When we tell her it is bath time, she will say "bath time" and run towards the tub. Callie's vocabulary is growing. She can say mom, dad, dog, cat, bath time, and diaper. She has 6 teeth and a couple that are about to pop through. She has started turning away food that she doesn't like. She loves cookies. If she sees the box, she will carry it around with her until she gets one.
This kid has an obsession with shoes. If her closet doors are open, she will spend hours in there playing with her shoes. She will bring over a pair and sit in your lap for you to put them on her. Some days she even wants to wear them over her jammies. We are going to be in trouble if this obsession continues. She has learned that she can lay down on the floor and continually plays while laying on her belly or her back. She loves looking under the couches and beds to see if there is something under there.

Callie loves to dance. Every time she hears music she will stop what she is doing, listen and dance. Before her dancing was moving up and down, but now she is swaying from side to side. She even danced to the hymns we were singing at church yesterday. We love being able to fast forward through commercials, but hate that we miss her dancing. We sure do love our little ham.

Look what you can do with a T-Shirt

Loren and I cleaned out our closet this week. Here is what I did with a couple old t-shirts. I can't wait for it to be a little warmer outside so Callie can wear all of her little dresses.

Looking at a magazine

Today I found Callie looking at a magazine. She would turn the page and look at it for a bit and then gently turn the next page.

making daddy laugh

Callie has learned to blow raspberries.

Cheetos Monster

Callie loves Cheetos and the crunch they make. Here she is crunching them with her fingers.

A Crafter's Child

I try to only do crafts while Callie is sleeping or while Loren is at home to play with her. There are several days where she will wake up in the middle of a project that I have to finish. Therefor she becomes a crafter's child (at least that is what I'm going to call it). Here she is playing with and in my die cuts. Some days she will play very well by herself and other days not so much. Usually she does good when she play with the same stuff I am. This is one of the good days. I sure do love this girl.

The Oven Mitt

Callie has watched us one too many times, she know how to use the oven mitt. She can even eat with it on.

learning to walk in boots

The boots are 2 sizes too big, but it's never too early to learn to walk in them.

fighting over the blanket

Since it has been getting warmer out, Callie has been able to play outside. The dog will let her play with his tennis balls, but not his blanket.

skirt flying

Today after church Callie continued to walk over the air vent allowing the wind to blow up her skirt. I didn't get the best video, but it was pretty cute.

Callie watched Aunt Mandy step over the baby gate to get the balls, but can't figure out why she can't.

Callie has a weird obsession with string. She could play with it for hours. We aren't going to have an issue getting her to floss.

Faux Metal Letters

My newest addition.

for sale at

Advertising on Etsy did me good. I didn't sell anything that day, but I got over 300 views on my COLORS Book and several views on all my other products. I've sold a couple sets of magnets and even been contacted to sell my table tents wholesale to a little boutique. I've very excited about the opportunity and excited to see where it takes me. I'll have to do more advertising in the future.

COLORS Fabric Quiet Book

I was planning on trying to make my ABC book and pattern, but I'm only half way. I jumped on another idea. Here is my COLORS Fabric Quiet Book. You take the flowers off the front and match them to the color pages within the book. I think it turned out pretty cute. I even had time to make a pattern and kit to go with it.

While Loren and I were in the kitchen this morning, Callie was playing in her drawer like she always does. I look down and see her in the drawer. This is the first time getting into it. It was pretty cute though.

Don't you love her crooked little smile? I sure do!

I've been having fun with magnets lately. My newest creations

Full name custom fabric books

The ABC book is coming along, but I thought I would start selling full name custom fabric books. This has the child's name on the front and then spells out the name throughout the book with an activity on each page. I had all the letters for my name finished, so that is why I had to post mine instead of Callie. I'm charging $5 a page and $5 for the front and back and rings. A 5 page book like this would be $30 .
