Wichita Zoo

The zoo in Wichita is much larger than the zoo in Boise, so we had to go. Callie loved seeing all the animals. She even got to pet and feed a giraffe. She really loved the petting zoo with the sheep and goats. She kept going baaaaaa. It was so cute. Here are some of the pictures of her adventure.Doesn't this picture remind you of Bowser?
Yes, we were that close to the tiger. I'm just glad there was glass between us.

Not enough horses

After riding the spring horse, Callie tried out the small horse and couldn't figure out why it wasn't the same.

Grandma's House

The first thing Callie played with at Grandma's house was the old spring horse. She loved it and by the end of the trip she was crawling on it herself and riding up a storm. She is my little cowgirl.

Kansas Trip

I was so worried to take Callie on the airplane to Kansas this year. She won't sit through church in one spot, so how was I suppose to keep her on my lap for 2-2 hour flights. Well, she surprised the heck out of me. The first leg, she was very content with the video on the flight and looking out the window. The second leg, we ate lots of snacks and read lots of books, but towards the end she did get very cranky.
On the first leg back to Idaho she fell asleep and slept the whole flight. On the second leg, it was a different story. We were put in an aisle set and it was hard to keep her on my lap. It didn't help that I hadn't gotten a wink of sleep the night before. I tried feeding her, reading to her, singing to her, everything...but nothing worked. Finally on the decent into Boise she fell asleep. I knew she was sleepy, but she went so fast. I couldn't even wake her up to see her daddy. She was too sleepy. She even took a 2 hour nap later that day. I guess traveling takes it out of you.
